In order for us to provide you with the quality service you deserve, please read the following terms and policies below and contact us with any questions prior to purchase to be sure you fully understand how your order will be processed.
Shipping and Handling

We ask in general to allow up to 15 business days to process and deliver your order to you. Any unexpected delays will be communicated to you as soon as we learn of them. We only ship within the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship outside of the USA including AK, HI, PR and Guam. We do not accept orders sent to military addresses (i.e.: APO). Some items may be able to be mailed via USPS to a PO Box. Please contact us regarding an item of interest to confirm prior to purchase.
General Return Policy
ONLY defective items may be returned for exchange. Refunds are only issued in cases where the item is no longer available or unable to be replaced due to inventory status. You must report defective items to support@desertshieldpersonalsafety.com within seven (7) days from receipt. An RMA # will be issued at that time as well as any return instructions. Explanation of the problem must be provided in writing with the returned item. Once item is received we will determine whether or not it is defective and then ship a replacement to you. There is a 20% restocking fee if the item is not defective or you do not receive a replacement. You, the customer are responsible for making all arrangements associated with the return of your merchandise including any return shipping costs. The item must be received back at our warehouse in the original, undamaged condition. Any and all related parts and manuals/instructions received must be included with the item. Please do not forget to first obtain an RMA number prior to shipping your item back to Desert Shield Personal Safety.
There are NO returns on food, water & clothing items.
Return Policy for Hidden Cameras, Surveillance Equipment
We at Desert Shield Personal Safety strive to offer our customers the best products at the best possible prices. Due to the nature of the products, returns will not be accepted unless the product is found to be defective or unless otherwise explicitly stated on the specific Desert Shield Personal Safety product page.
All returns, refunds, or exchanges must be approved by Desert Shield Personal Safety before any products are returned.
We have implemented this policy because of the misuse of our former liberal return policy. A few unscrupulous people have ordered our products for specific short term uses and then returned the product in a condition that would not allow us to resell. We test all of our products before shipping. Your satisfaction is our number one concern. RETURN POLICY: All our hidden cameras, surveillance equipment, and other hi-tech products are special ordered by the person ordering and are NOT subject to cancellations. Due to the nature of our product line, returns will only be accepted for products damaged upon shipment to the customer*. All returns must be authorized by Desert Shield Personal Safety before product(s) is returned. All products must be returned in the original packaging. Desert Shield Personal Safety will replace, refund, or credit your account for returned product(s) at Desert Shield Personal Safety's discretion.
*Special exceptions may be made on a case by case basis determined by Desert Shield Personal Safety. In this event, returns are subject to deductions for shipping costs and a 25% restocking charge and must be returned within a five (5) day period from date of receipt of product(s). NO refunds will be given for products returned without explicit permission from Desert Shield Personal Safety.
Any return must be authorized by a representative of Desert Shield Personal Safety and under no circumstances will returns be accepted otherwise. Authorization and shipping instructions must be obtained from Desert Shield Personal Safety. No returns will be authorized after five (5) BUSINESS days of receipt of product(s) by the customer.
SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
REQUESTS TO RETURN PRODUCTS MUST BE OBTAINED FROM Desert Shield Personal Safety WITHIN A FIVE (5) DAY PERIOD AFTER THE CUSTOMER HAS RECEIVED THE PRODUCT(S).

We offer quality email support to all of our customers. When sending us an email, please include your name, order # and the item you purchased (if aplicable), so we can provide a quick and concise response to your question. Once your email is received, you may be sent an automated email response from us confirming that we received your email and provide you with an FAQ section. If your question is not answered within that message, you should receive a response from us within 24 hours, or one business day. This does not include weekends or national holidays.
If available at the time of your visit, you also have the option of chatting with us to have your question(s) answered live. If offline, you may also email us through that method.
Payment Processing
Once you have sent payment to Desert Shield Personal Safety we begin processing your order immediately. Processing of your order will usually take about 3-5 business days at most, which allows time for your payment to clear and your order to be requested from our distribution center. Please know that orders placed near or on the weekend may take slightly longer to process.

Sorry, NO cash or personal checks will be accepted and will be returned to you if received. Please be sure to provide us with correct shipping information including your contact phone number(s) so we can quickly process your order and have your item shipped out.
Our online payment checkout is secure through SSL encryption. Once you enter the checkout page, you will see that our URL in the address bar has changed from "http" to "https" showing a secure connection.
*If you would like to pay for your order with your credit card (Visa/MC, Amex & Discover) over the phone instead of through our online checkout, please email us at info@desertshieldpersonalsafety.com and we will provide you with a number you can call us at. Please have your card and product information available when you call to expedite the payment process.
Sales Tax
Sales tax of 8.1% is charged on all items shipped to any location within the state of Arizona. Select merchandise may be subject to other states sales tax depending on warehouse picking locations.
Color / Appearance / Price / Dimension Discrepancies
Although we make every effort to provide high quality images and descriptions of our products, we are not responsible for image color/appearance variations due to monitor settings or slight measurement discrepancies. If precise colors, dimensions, or patterns are critical to your order, please contact us by e-mail so that we may assist you in answering any questions you may have prior to ordering. Desert Shield Personal Safety is not responsible for pricing or other errors in the description of our products, and we reserve the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors.
Damage on Arrival / Unfulfilled Orders
Although every effort is made to ship your merchandise as safely as possible, we recognize items do occasionally get damaged during transport. Our staff is well trained to offer assistance in the event of damages or other issues relating to your order. Damages, missing parts, or discrepancies must be reported within two (2) days from the date that the item was received to support@desertshieldpersonalsafety.com. We assume no responsibility for any problems reported after the 2-day period.
Please be sure to retain the original packaging and all packing materials since you may need to reseal the item for pick up by the carrier. We can then file a claim on your behalf and provide you with a replacement or refund (minus any insurance paid for since this is the purpose for it) if the item is no longer available.
NOTE: If the original packaging has not been retained, there is no recourse with the shipping carrier and no refund or replacement can be issued. It is thus of the utmost importance that these receiving instructions be followed. Athough these incidents rarely happen, keep in mind that defective items are not the same as damaged and must be handled in a different manner (see "Return Policy" above).
Lost / Missing Shipment
In the event that your item has not arrived within a reasonable amount of time once it has been shipped to you according to standard transit times, we will initiate a claim with the shipping carrier. Once it has been determined that the item has definitely been lost, you then have the option of having a replacement shipped or receiving a refund.
Cancellations
Most orders can be cancelled prior to shipping out. If an order has been processed and shipped, it cannot be cancelled and is subject to our Return Policy. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us promptly by email to support@desertshieldpersonalsafety.com. Be sure you reach one of our customer service associates so that your order will be cancelled immediately and not shipped.

You, the customer have the ultimate responsibility to ascertain, comprehend, and abide by all applicable laws pertaining to the possession and use of the products you purchase.
