The following information is provided to assist you in deciding which products are best suited for your needs.

Air TASER® devices are unique: they completely but temporarily disable an attacker: when used correctly, they are non-lethal but highly effective deterrents. They are the preferred weapons of law enforcement personnel as well as those interested in self protection. In some places, the sale and use of TASER® devices are illegal, but in many states, they don't even require a permit. Check your local laws prior to purchase.

The air TASER® device is powered by compressed air cartridges which, when activated, fire two electrical probes into the clothing or skin of an opponent. The electrical probes generate a burst of electricity which causes would-be attackers to lose muscular control. The muscles contract involuntarily (think of the way your eyes briefly snap shut when you sneeze), and the attacker falls to the ground.

The electrical impulse from the TASER® device disrupts information between the brain and the muscles, causing total lack of coordination. The air TASER® device is built to deliver bursts of electricity over a short period of time so that attackers can't pull the probes from skin or clothing, giving you time to get away. TASER® device can be fired from up to 15 feet away and are 99% effective, even on attackers under the influence of drugs or liquor.

It's not hard to fire a TASER® device: just aim in the general direction of your opponent, and fire. Unlike guns, the TASER® device doesn't require much training in order to get a good shot and save yourself from attack.

The new C2 TASER® device are smaller and easier to conceal and handle, so it isn't only the police who like them. You can buy a small but powerful TASER® device with a holster, or keep it in your pocket when you're walking in potentially dangerous situations. Knowing you have an effective, easy to use weapon at hand will increase your feelings of confidence as well as your objective safety.

Crime is on the rise in cities all across America. What would you do if you were accosted on the street, or if a predator were to break into your home? With a C2 Air TASER® device self defense weapon you can know you have the ability to provide for your own personal protection as soon as you find yourself in any dangerous situation.

C2 TASER® device are among the best personal security devices available. They fire electrified cartridges which will shock your attacker and immobilize them for several minutes. Each TASER® device has a firing range of up to 15 feet, letting you stop an assailant before they can even get close enough to harm you. The cartridges are replaceable, so if you do have to use the gun you may easily obtain new ones that are specifically for your weapon.

A C2 TASER® device is extremely easy to use. When you hold the grip the comfortable handle you will know why it is an effective security product for people of any age regardless of the size of their hand. When you need to use the C2 TASER® device, simply remove the safety cover over the trigger, and fire. The laser sight version of the Air TASER® C2 has a built in LED light that shines brightly so you can clearly see and pinpoint your attacker. It is proven to improve aim - helping you make sure you hit your target. While you can use the element of surprise by keeping it handy in a pocket or purse, this TASER® device can also be a powerful crime prevention tool if you choose to wear it outside it in a holster where a criminal can see it. It is a proven fact that they are more likely to move on to an easier target.

Air TASER® Device Offer Many Self Defense Benefits Over a Traditional Gun. Personal security TASER® device are excellent self defense devices; they are non-lethal but effectively disabling, easy to buy and simple to use. Best of all, they can veritably assure the protection of the user, even when the attacker isn't yet at arm's reach. Opponents using drugs or alcohol are still affected by the TASER® device, and rather than being victimized, you will be in control of the situation. You can use a TASER® device at close range or up to fifteen feet away from your opponent. Check with your local police department before you buy a TASER® device in case there are restrictions in your area.

How TASER® Devices Work: Air TASER® devices work like modern-day slingshots. Compressed air cartridges are activated when you fire the weapon, shooting two probes on thin electrical wires into your opponent's skin or clothing. The probes deliver a stunning charge, enough electricity to cause a human being to lose control of his muscles as information from the brain is scrambled before reaching the muscles. The attacker cannot react effectively or even stand: the muscles convulse, and the probes continue to deliver bursts of energy which keep the attacker where he belongs, writhing on the ground.

Because the TASER® device wires are 15 feet long, you can fire long before the attacker reaches you. Aiming a TASER® device is much easier than aiming a gun, and because there are two probes, you have double the chance of hitting your target. Best of all, many states don't require a weapons permit for the TASER®, device and some models fit easily into your handbag or pocket.

When you order additional cartridges, each advanced air TASER® device cartridge order contains 2. The C2 replacements come in packs of 2 or 4.

Please make sure that the cartridges you order are correct for the type of Air TASER® device that you own or are planning to purchase. The advanced TASER® device replacement cartridges designed to work with advanced TASER® M18, M18L and X26C will NOT work with Air TASER® C2. Conversely the C2 TASER® device cartridges will not work with any of the advanced TASER® units.

Keep Extra Energy Ready to Run Your TASER® device. These are the 2 types of energy types that run the two different types of TASER® units we sell:

The Advanced Air TASER® device runs on 4 AA batteries. To ensure optimum reliable performance, we recommend using lithium rechargeable batteries. Make sure you always have your TASER® device ready to go at all times by charging them with a battery charger kit.

The Air TASER® C2 runs on a special energy power supply system called a Lithium Power Magazine or LPM. Having an extra LPM on hand is a very good idea if you need more energy but don't have time to fully recharge the energy supply that comes with the C2 TASER® device.

More and more, people are realizing the police can't be everywhere at once and that they need to take responsibility for their own personal protection. Self defense items like TASER® device are effective and non lethal.

These stun weapons are extremely effective, but only when they are used properly and kept in good operating condition. It is important to have the necessary accessories to go with your weapon.

The first step is to make sure the TASER® unit is fully charged at all times. Depending on what type of TASER® device you have, either the Advanced Air TASER® device or a TASER® C2 unit, you will need either a Battery Charger Kit or the Lithium Battery Power Magazine. Although it should go without saying, it is important to remember that even the best weapon will be of no use against a criminal if it does not have power.

Next you will need to be sure you have plenty of ammunition in the form of replacement cartridges. These cartridges snap right into your TASER® device, and will be ready for use immediately. You never know when you may need to take multiple shots or perhaps be in a situation with multiple assailants.

Finally it is essential be able to use the TASER® device properly. Although it can reach a target that is 15 feet away, you must know how to aim it to make a successful hit. There is no better way to improve your shooting ability than by practicing with a target, which is also designed to show you exactly where to point the weapon.

A device like a TASER® device is only going to be effective when it is well maintained, fully loaded and in the hands of a responsible adult who knows how to properly operate it.

Child Safety Products: While the number of incidents have decreased in recent years, preventable home injuries for children and adolescents in the United States account for more than 2,800 deaths each year. Fatalities from unintentional injuries at home continue to be a leading cause of death among children in the United States, according to many reputable medical sources. Much of this decrease can be attributed to better preventative measures around the home. Remember, Safety First.

Pepper Defense Sprays are one of the Most Affordable Self Defense Products Available. Pepper spray gets best marks on safety; you can completely disable an opponent without causing permanent harm. In fact, pepper spray's effectiveness and safety have made it a choice for law enforcement officers as well as civilians to save lives: sometimes you don't need to shoot someone with a bullet in order to make him stop! Instead, you can blast the meanest guy with extract from cayenne pepper and make him cry like a little kid.

Pepper sprays have been found more effective than mace (not the same as MACE brand pepper spray), which doesn't always stop attackers high on drugs or alcohol. Because mace is a sort of tear gas, people on drugs may not feel it: pepper spray is an extreme irritant that no one can resist, so it's also preferred by law enforcement officers worldwide. Human attackers aren't the only ones to encounter pepper spray. Hikers use pepper spray on bears who won't take "no" for an answer, and delivery people often carry it to deter aggressive dogs.

Pepper Spray Key Chains are a Practical and Popular Self Defense Product. One of the key components of a good self defense strategy is to have a good plan and enough practice to effectively carry it out. Many women are harassed or attacked when entering or leaving their car, walking to or from the workplace, or after working late at the office. Male and female students are often not as safe on campus as they should be: carrying a small but effective weapon (like something connected to a key chain) is one way to equalize the situation.

Defense sprays are ideal deterrents for would-be attackers, and since they don't require expertise in using them, they are also excellent weapons for people who may not have the physical strength or fearlessness to physically fight an opponent. Mace (different than MACE brand pepper spray products), a form of tear gas, has been outlawed in most places for use by civilians, but pepper spray is legal in most of states and can be easily purchased and used to save yourself from attack.

One of the most popular pepper sprays is the key chain spray: small enough to attach to your keys, it's easy to carry and can be on hand any time you need it. Keys themselves can make excellent weapons as well; attach a leather thong or strap to the bunch and carry your keys in your hand so that if you need to, you can swing them in an attackers face, causing lacerations. But if the feeling of being that close to a potential attacker makes you feel sick and afraid, invest in a tiny keychain pepper spray: you can use it before an opponent is close enough to grab you, and keep him at arms length until the spray puts him on the ground about one second after you pull the trigger.

Pocket size Pepper Sprays Offer Extra Protection in a Small Package. You don't have to carry a holstered weapon in order to feel safe. Products small enough to fit in a pocket can carry a similar punch. In fact, personal security is largely a matter of readiness, not toughness, so nearly everyone can defend themselves against attack with something as simple as a compact version of one of several defense sprays.

While mace was once the preferred spray, it has largely been replaced by pepper sprays, which are more effective against a wider range of people. The problems with mace was that attacker on drugs sometimes didn't feel the effects: with pepper spray, even drug or alcohol abusers are affected. When you spray someone with pepper spray, the power of oleoresin capsicum, an oil derived from cayenne pepper, comes capably to your defense. Attackers eyes shut involuntarily as the pepper oil causes immediate and painful irritation, and tearing can continue for more than an hour after being sprayed.

Other mucus membranes are also irritated: the nose runs, the throat is affected, causing coughing and choking, and the skin burns wherever it has been contacted by the spray: remember the last time you bit into a truly hot pepper? The pain that coursed through your mouth, that made your eyes water and your face swell up can be applied to anyone who tries to bully you. Pepper spray is a solid argument: even the most determined criminals find it impossible to ignore the pain!

While there are police-sized versions of pepper sprays, most of us won't need canisters with dozens of doses. For the most basic civilian protection, a small canister is fine, since we don't suffer attacks on a regular basis, thank goodness! You can buy pepper spray in a mini version, to fit into your pocket or purse.

Disguised Pepper Spray that Looks Like an Every Day Object. There are several reasons for using a disguised pepper spray, and they are all quite valid, because protecting you from harm is the priority. Especially if you have had an ongoing problem with being victimized, possessing a pepper spray hidden in plain sight, under the guise of a pager or pen, can put security close to you all the time. Pepper spray has replaced MACE(TM) as the favored self defense spray; its effectiveness is without question and its ease of use is unparalleled. You don't have to take long courses in self defense strategies or practice as you would with a gun; just familiarize yourself with aiming and place the disguised pepper spray in your purse or in your office desk.

Some people find it embarrassing to admit that they have enhanced their personal safety by acquiring a weapon: others may call them fearful or paranoid. If someone in your workplace takes exception to your owning pepper spray, they never need to know about it, just don't lend them your pen! The fact is, only you know your comfort level and how safe you truly are; don't let anyone else dissuade you from protecting yourself.

Most would-be attackers believe that victims won't try to defend themselves; sometimes, simply screaming or physically resisting will be enough to scare a bad guy away. But if he's too stupid to run, you can spray him with something that will leave him temporarily blinded, in agony, weeping and sniveling. But don't stick around to gloat! Run and get help. If you're back in ten minutes with a cop, he'll probably still be right where you left him rolling around on the ground.

Stay Safe from Attacks While Jogging, Running or Fitness Walking. Sometimes runners forget that they can be targets for violent criminals, but some criminals target joggers purposely. Rapists often choose secluded areas such as bike or jogging paths or park trails when seeking victims; men who think it's fun to beat people up often focus on runners because runners tend not to be as vigilant as they might be in other situations. Runners are often focused on their run, not the surroundings, and that can be dangerous if someone else is watching you or planning an attack.

When you're jogging, you may feel that your personal safety isn't an issue, but it never hurts to be sure. Especially if you run at dawn or dusk, make sure that you're visible to traffic or bikes by applying strips of reflective tape to your sneakers and clothes. Pay attention to the people around you or to places where criminals might hide. Running with headphones on exposes you to the risk of not hearing someone approaching you: for added safety, run with a friend, a jogging group, or a well-trained dog.

And for further protection, consider pepper spray for joggers. You can buy a pepper spray that clips to your clothing, so you don't have to fumble with pockets or fanny packs to access it. Wrap it around your upper arm or clip it to your belt so if you need it, you don't have to reach very far.

Police Grade Pepper Spray is Available for Civilian Self Defense Use. Do you ever wonder why cops are so tough when the rest of us are terrified? Maybe it has something to do with the weapons they carry. Law enforcement personnel go through rigorous self defense training, and they have the tools to back it up. After all, wouldn't your safety be more assured if you know judo, or carried a big stick and knew some tricks for using it?

One of the police officers favorite non-lethal weapons is police grade pepper spray, with an OC (oleoresin capsicum) content of 15%. This pepper spray is strong enough to make a charging bear change his mind, and using it on people tends to render them compliant with very little argument. Basically, a face full of pepper spray activates an opponents biology: you won't hurt his feelings, but you'll make him cry. His nose will stream, tears will course down in rivers and his burning eyes will be stapled shut by pain. He will cough and choke as his lungs try to expel the irritating oil. Suddenly, he's not so scary anymore!

Depending on where you live, police grade pepper spray may be available to you, but check with your local law enforcement agency about restrictions. If you're working in private security, you may want a police-size canister because you may face more potential attacks than civilians do. But if you're a civilian who wants the high-test version, this pepper spray may be just the thing to round out your arsenal of personal self defense.

Pepper Spray Foggers Don't Require Accurate Aim to an Attackers Face. In a place where gangs are a problem, or on campuses where date rape is one of the most common crimes, a personal self defense system should include some kind of pepper spray. More effective than mace (Mace is also an effective brand of pepper spray), easier to use than a gun, pepper spray is a smart and inexpensive method of self protection, whether it's from one opponent or many.

To maximize your chances against multiple attackers, consider the pepper spray fogger. The fogger broadcasts the spray in a fine, wide mist, so that instead of worrying about hitting your target, you can surround him with a burning mist by simply aiming in his general direction. For groups, the fogger works especially well because it disperses widely and lingers, allowing those in the back to see its striking effect on the first ones to be fogged.

In the case where you are approached when trying to get into your car, fogging your opponent gives you the chance to get away, but make sure not to use the fogger inside your auto, or you will also be temporarily disabled by the pepper spray.

If you work in security, owning the pepper spray fogger can help you deal with several attackers at once, maximizing your chances of getting out unharmed and leaving several would-be bad guys behind. Spray the fog into a room and shut the door to make sure your opponents can't escape. Carry pepper spray fogger when doing security rounds, walking alone on campus or in dicey areas, or when you're out after dark. You never really know what to expect when you go out into the world; make the best of your chances by owning a pepper spray fogger.

Pepper Spray Holsters Protect the Product and Make it Easier to Carry. Once you've decided to purchase a pepper spray, you need to think about how you plan to carry it. Pepper spray holsters are available for every size and model of spray, large or small. The question is, which holder is right for you?

If you carry pepper spray as an addition to other weapons for professional security or law enforcement, you may want to use the belt clip favored by most police officers and instituted decades ago when MACE made up most self defense sprays. But if you only carry pepper spray when you go out at night, you may prefer to attach a small canister to your key chain.

You can carry pepper spray in your coat pocket, attached to your clothing or disguised as another object such as a pager or a pen. Buy a small pepper spray to keep in a purse or glove compartment, or to keep in your desk when you work late. Take a few minutes to decide when you are most likely to need your pepper spray and then decide on the type of holder you need: you may find that you'd prefer to have more than one pepper spray for home, your auto, work or the gym.

You may decide to buy a pepper spray canister and holster for an older relative, your college-age daughter or a friend who has had a recent fright on a city street. Pepper sprays are so easy to use and so effective; it's surprising that they haven't become a must-have in every womans purse and car. And pepper spray isn't just for women; men also use it to maximize their safety in dangerous situations.

Diversion Safes Hide Valuables from Burglars and are Inexpensive to Buy. The psychology of burglary works like this: when a thief breaks in, his goal is to get as many expensive items as possible, as quickly as possible, and get out and away without being seen. By hiding your valuables in an innocuous, everyday looking household object, you thwart the thief, who is looking in dresser drawers, under the bed or in the freezer for your diamonds and pearls.

Aside from the fact that he'll have a much harder time finding the objects you care about, he will be all too aware of the clock ticking the moments away, making a fast getaway less achievable. A nervous thief will tend to beat a hasty retreat before finding your treasures, seeking a house where the owners aren't as prepared.

Some people rely on expensive, hidden wall or floor safes to store their cash and jewelry, but installing a safe can cost thousands of dollars. For most people, a diversion safe 7-Up can in the box with the others or a can of shaving cream on the bathroom shelf is an easy and cheap way to hide important household items.

Place a diversion safe on a crowded kitchen shelf, in the garage or in the medicine cabinet wherever the object it mimics would normally be found. And if you worry about locking yourself out of your house, try a hide-a-key safe. These clever devices, often in the form of rocks or garden statuary, can help you keep a key safe from outsiders but right where you can find it if you need it.

You Can Hide Valuable Jewelry and Keepsakes in the Bathroom. Hiding your valuables in the house is safe unless your house is burgled. Break-ins are common, and theft causes millions of dollars of losses each year. Burglars start by looking at the obvious cash on the dresser, jewelry in its case, or items like computers or other expensive and portable technology. Some small-time thieves look for things like prescription drugs, alcohol or small things they can sell to get drug money. Ideally, the thief in your house will find nothing valuable, and will be forced to move on.

If you want to keep your treasured possessions at home, consider using a diversion safe storage place that imitates common household items. A good diversion safe not only looks exactly like the imitated product—it should be similar in weight as well, so a thief who picks it up won't notice a strangeness in its heft.

Hidden safes can be expensive, but diversion safes are not costly at all; in the bathroom, you can hide your items or cash in diversion safes made to resemble cleaning products. Cleaners, shaving cream or even toothpaste tubes can conceal small items you want to keep safely hidden. Hide things in plain sight and would-be burglars may have to leave your home empty-handed!

A Soda Can to Hide Your Precious Valuables from Burglars. If you're worried about hiding your valuables and don't want to invest in an expensive wall or floor safe, you can purchase a diversion safe that looks perfectly at home on the shelves of your pantry or among the real food in your refrigerator.

You can find a variety of diversion safes for sale: shaving cream cans or bottles of cleaner for the bathroom, books, canned goods, items that fit nicely into the auto-related theme of your garage and more. These safes are weighted appropriately so they feel like the real thing, but have room to store and save your personal possessions from theft. Looking for a safe that will fool any thief? Try a soda can safe, and mix it in with real cans of soda on your shelves.

Thieves don't spend much time in a house: after about five minutes, most thieves get nervous, and by the time eight minutes have expired, most of them are out the door, empty-handed or not. The more confounded a burglar is by not being able to quickly find jewelry, cash or other valuables, the greater the chance that he'll leave before finding what you've hidden.

Hide your favorite objects inside safes that mimic ordinary household items, and you're stealing time from the person who would steal from you. Diversion safes come in so many shapes and sizes from rocks to fake electrical sockets-that there's something for everyone.

How the Police Use Handcuffs: Law enforcement personnel know the power of handcuffs: aside from locking the person's hands safely behind the back, cuffs also throw people off their natural balance, making it easier to guide them in the direction you want them to go. Cops use handcuffs also as a physical deterrent: tightening the hand cuffs causes discomfort and can render a criminal slightly easier to get along with than otherwise.

You can buy police grade handcuffs, complete with an appropriate holster or carrier and keys. If you work in security, you should have a pair you bought yourself, and the best pair you can afford. If you do opt for inexpensive handcuffs, make sure the working parts are made of steel, and that you can't bend them with your bare hands: if you can bend them just trying them out, a person who's motivated to escape may be able to break them.

Cheap handcuffs offer plenty of security in certain situations. Inexpensive handcuffs can still get the job done, and they may be just the thing you need to complete your home security kit without laying out a lot of cash. Always buy brand new hand cuffs as opposed to used ones: there's only one reason people get rid of cuffs, and that's when they no longer work properly.

You can get handcuffs at discount, but make sure that they are made of steel instead of cheap pot metal, and that the keys and the locking mechanism work smoothly and without trouble. If you use handcuffs for security purposes, your main concern is that you can put someone into them without running into problems with stick locks. You also want to make sure the cuffs are strong enough to hold should your opponent make a determined effort to get away.

We sell inexpensive handcuffs because we know the everyday budget doesn't cover police grade cuffs, but we sell good cuffs because we know that you want to be able to count on them. Most people don't have to cuff someone every day, or even once a month, but when it comes to personal protection, it's nice to know that the tools you have will work when you need them.

Protect Your Home - Consider Installing Security & Monitoring Equipment. Protect the main entrances in your home with door security and window security products. Consider items with high-tech alarms that work with motion sensors or wireless devices for security monitoring. A modern entrance alert lets you know the instant a door, window or cabinet is opened, sounding an alarm for 45 seconds. It's not only ideal for home security: you can finally lock your kids out of the cookie cupboard with a simple door safety item!

Other monitoring equipment includes a driveway motion detector, a door stop security alarm and a window security alarm. If you want to feel safe at home but don't want to acquire a large, menacing dog, a simple, battery operated alarm system can alert you to and protect you from any potential burglar or home invader. And of course you can use these door and window security devices for surveillance and to enhance your business security.

Security Alarms: Simple Wireless DIY Monitoring is Possible. With today's wireless technologies, DIY home security is a snap to install and use. Wirefree monitoring systems run on battery, and often don't need to be installed by a professional, you don't even need to know how electricity works! Whether it's alerts or alarms for the house, motion detectors for monitoring activity on the periphery of the home or yard, or door and window devices, most people can easily purchase and use modern security devices.

It's getting tougher to be a burglar, because more people are getting savvy to home protection. You can set up a simple but effective house security system that doesn't cost much but that provides alarmed protection for windows and doors. Motion sensors attached to lights can deter would-be bad guys when placed at entrances or in your driveway: most criminals prefer to work in the dark. An alarm is usually enough to send away anyone who tries to get inside your house: the loud noise is frightening as well as being an effective summons for sleeping homeowners or your neighbors.

Back up your home security system with the intelligent purchase of personal safety products. Consider buying a can of pepper spray to keep next to your bed in case an intrepid burglar makes his way into the house. Plan exit routes and safety strategies with your family in case of fire or home invasion. Teach your children never to open the door to a stranger, and install adequate porch lights and peepholes in your doors.

Motion Detectors and Sensors Can Deter Bad Guys and Light Dark Areas. Home security sensors can be used to deter bad guys before they enter the home, making your personal safety more secure in the process. A thief who is interrupted by an alarm will try to run away: a thief interrupted by a frightened or angry homeowner may become violent (especially if you're between him and the door).

Monitoring your driveway and yard can help you catch potential problems: if the motion sensor on your garage tells you someone is lurking there, you can call your local police and ask for a cruiser; you can turn on a bright floodlight, sending the lurker away, or you can check the locks on your doors and windows to make it as difficult as possible for him to enter your home.

Home security systems should contain more than one device: ideally, you have a clever arrangement of well placed lights, audible alarms run by infrared technology, and battery powered alarms that won't go off if the power line is cut. Wireless technology often means you can plug an alarm into a socket instead of having to hire someone to rewire your house. Your system may be as simple as an eager, well-trained watch dog and remembering to lock your doors and windows, but technology can give your home security an added boost, keeping you safer, easier than ever before.

Door and Window Alarms and Locks are a Basic Level Home Security Everyone Should Have Installed. One of the smartest things you can do on a regular basis to deter burglars or other would-be bad guys is to make sure your doors and windows stay shut and locked. Obviously, if you live in a city, where the population density is higher, you have a greater chance of having home break-ins, but some small towns and even the countryside get their share of criminals and kids looking for money, drugs or things they can sell. In some places, people just make sure their doors and windows are locked before they go to bed: in others, it's wiser to have permanent iron bars installed outside ground floor windows and to have alarms on windows and doors.

If you like your fresh air, you can add tight, well-fitted window screens to your frames, but if someone really wants to get into your house, any pocket knife can cut through a screen, so make sure to get the screens that can be raised slightly and locked into position. Storm doors with locking screens can also help get the fresh air in and keep unwanted visitors out.

Not many years ago, door and window security devices were cumbersome and had to be installed by electricians or window specialists, but wireless technology has resulted in security alarms that are easy to install. Because they are battery powered, you don't have to have an alert system wired into your existing electrical supply, so it's a simple thing to buy an alarm, add the batteries and rest easy knowing that you will be alerted if someone tries to break in. When it comes to safety, everyone has to take some care these days, and knowing that your doors and windows are secured is an excellent start to your home security system.

Personal Alarms Give Anyone a Little Extra Security. Personal alarms have often been used by seniors at home to get first aid in the case of medical emergency: you may have heard of a product called Lifeline, worn on the body and providing a near-instant connection with a helpline and ambulance service. You can buy similar wireless contact systems to be used for self protection as well: devices are carried or clipped to clothing: when someone feels under duress or threatened, a pushed button sounds a loud alarm. A criminal caught off guard by a screaming siren, will tend to run. And the high decibel alert will catch the attention of others.

But these alarms aren't just for seniors: they protect students walking on campus after dark. Rates of attack and rape on college campuses are higher than you'd imagine. Universities downplay crime rates, but students attending large schools need personal protection either in the form of an alarm, pepper spray or experience in self defense. A lot of crime happens in dormitories and frat houses: crime can walk through the door of any beer party. Provide your student with an alarm system and an alert sensibility to personal security on campus.

A pocket-sized & key chain personal alarm is easy to carry and inexpensive to own. A pocket and key chain alarm is one of the best lightweight, affordable security systems you can have either in the house or out on the town. Security devices for your home can be larger, but a small, effective pocket alarm can be carried in your pocket or purse or attached to a key chain to provide a portable safety system in the form of an alarm that sounds a the push of a button.

Modern pocket and key chain alarms are wireless: they run on small, long-lived batteries. As for as personal alarms go, the key chain alarm is especially practical because it's always close to hand. Some thieves or burglars like to surprise people as they are unlocking their cars or front doors: when your hands are full and you're thinking about other things, the criminal has a psychological and physical advantage.

For elderly people who may be preyed upon by especially nasty criminals, devices such as pocket alarms can prove especially valuable: just pull out the alarm and push the button. There are many ways to increase your safety, and simply knowing that you have an alarm can increase your confidence and the way you carry yourself, making it less likely that a criminal will single you out as a potential victim. You may never have to use your personal alarm, but if you do, you'll certainly be glad to have something that can turn a bad guy into fleeing suspect, running down the street as fast as he can and away from you!

Alarm Accessories. It's true. Even though we all know better, most every one of us has continued to drive when we were far too tired to be on the road safely. Sometimes you just want to get a little bit farther, and other times you are just so close to your destination that it seems pointless to not continue. So, we go on even when our eyelids begin to droop and our attention to the road starts to waver.

Statistics have shown that a large percentage of car accidents occur because a driver fell asleep. A Personal Alarm with a no doze accessory can help put an end to these dangerous driving scenarios. These accessories fit snugly on your ear and will make sure you do not fall asleep while behind the wheel. Devices such as the Doze Alarm and Nap Zapper work to wake you up at the fist sign that you are dozing off while you are driving. Many people rely on well known techniques of attempting to stay awake such as rolling down the window or turning up the radio, but these are only short term solutions. With help from a personal alarm accessory, you can be certain to stay awake throughout your entire journey.

Personal alarms have many uses and can benefit anyone in a variety of ways. It is wise to keep yours with you at all times, because you never know when you might need it.

Another accessory for these alarms is the leather carrying case that makes it easy to have your alarm device right with you wherever you go. The case snaps directly on to your belt, so it is literally by your side when needed.

How Safety Lights Can Protect You in Everyday Situations. A safety light in the bedroom is a good idea, especially if you're worried about break-ins. It can help you see well enough to climb out the window and down the drain pipe, or you can flash it in a threatening intruder's eyes to buy time and get away. If you buy a flash light, it can also be used as a weapon: a thump on the head from a flashlight can be a good deterrent to a crook.

Preventing vehicle accidents is often a case of being easily seen, and pedestrians sometimes forget that in the blue light of dawn, dusk and night they are especially vulnerable to being hit by cars. A bright, LED safety light attached to your belt loop can make you visible in traffic, and a multi-function safety alarm can sound the alert as well as providing a light bright enough to be seen a mile away. It can be set to strobe or steady, and its db level is loud enough to scare off a would-be attacker. Don't want to carry a big flash light? Get a keychain light that's super-bright. It's personal, portable protection with a flashlight bright light that shines for 10,000 hours on its long lived battery.

LED (Light-Emitting Diode) Safety Ligts. A personal LED safety light allows anyone to control a powerful beam of light that will cut through darkness with ease. LED flashlights are ideal for people who spend time in the wilderness, must walk through poorly lit areas or for anyone who takes a late night stroll- whether it be down the block or down the hall. The light emitting diodes inside these lights shine much brighter and far longer than do standard flashlights. Campers should keep one on them at all time for a bright spotlight to illuminate their path to avoid tripping over branches, stepping into holes or approaching dangerous animals they may not otherwise have been able to see.

LED Lights are the brightest, lightweight and most cost effective personal lights you can buy. There are different tyoes available for different purposes. Nightstar flashlights look and work like normal flashlights, except for one major functional difference. They do not run on batteries, so over time they save you enough money to pay for themselves. In addition, there is never any worry that they will run out of power. You just give them a good shake for about 90 seconds and they flash right on and stay on for up to 20 minutes. LED mini lights are small enough to fit on your key chain so you can have one with you everywhere you go. Although they are small, they will produce a very bright beam of light that will help you get to your car, home or any other destination safely. Each mini light has a lithium ion battery that will run for up to an incredible 10,000 hours!

Safety lights are small and designed to be stored everywhere you go. Keep one at home, in the car, with your camping gear and even on your keychain. Stash these ultra bright lights wherever you may need them, and never be in the dark again.

Flashing Safety Lights Help Others See You, Even in the Dark. Flashing safety lights are perfect for people who stay out after dark, whether they're running, biking or just walking to the store. The first factor in your safety is visibility: if you're on the road without a light, even in light-colored clothing, you aren't as easy to see as you think you are. Car drivers are paying attention to the road, to other vehicles and maybe to cats or other animals that may dash out in front of a moving vehicle. Biker, walker or jogger, if you're not highly visible from at least five or six car lengths away, you're at risk.

At dawn there may be little traffic, but drivers may be wary and distracted and the natural light is low. Dusk brings its own hazards, because visibility is lowest then. A bicycle can be invisible, and joggers are difficult to see from a moving car. If you're out at dawn, dusk or evening, buy some flashing safety lights for your bike or to strap to your arms and legs, and also use reflective tape on your clothing.

A flashing red safety light catches the attention of drivers, and the new LED lights are bright. You can set them to flash or to stay steady, and it's a good idea to keep a set in the family auto in case you have car trouble at night and want to make sure your vehicle is visible to other traffic and for the tow truck. Multi function flashing personal safety lights can be used in any situation to increase visibility and maximize your safety.

Stun Gun Technology - Powerful Non-Lethal Protection that is Legal in Most States. Best effect when pressing the prongs against your attacker and holding it for three to five seconds. The electric shock disrupts the brain impulses that normally cause coordinated action, plus the recipient is unable to control his muscles and immediately falls to the ground, giving you plenty of time to escape and get help. The stun baton works like the stun gun, but is available in a range of smaller sizes: you can buy in online stores a powerful stun baton called the Firefly that's small enough to fit into your pocket!

Stun guns and batons are often used by police and security personnel, and more and more civilians are making these products popular in the arena of personal protection. Unless it's seriously misused (as has happened in a very few police and criminal interactions), the stun gun doesn't kill or permanently harm the recipient.

One of the strongest ways to take a bad guy out of action without killing him, the stun gun or baton is increasingly interesting to people who want to defend themselves but who don't want to carry traditional firearms because of the established risks. Research shows that guns are rarely used in justifiable homicides (as in the case of being attacked in your home). On average, 30,000 deaths each year are attributed to gun deaths: in 2004, only 134 of those deaths were in justifiable self defense, and the rest were suicides, homicides and accidents. Knowing the statistics, many people are turning from traditional firearms to safer self protection alternatives such as stun guns and stun batons. Invest in non-lethal self defense today!

Stun Batons are Commonly Used by Police and You Can Own One Too! Stun batons are powerful personal protection that's small enough to fit into the pocket of your raincoat or be telescopic: no wonder police and other law enforcement personnel prefer them to other weapons! And now, in most states, stun batons are legal for civilians, and very practical for increasing your security at work or on the streets. But stun batons and guns do have some restrictions based on where you live: check with your local police as to the legality and restrictions of owning a stun baton before making a purchase.

Stun batons can be carried in tote bags, take charge when you enter unsafe areas, or in vest in a holster that's carried either over or under your outerwear. In some cases, as in security jobs, you probably want people to see the stun gun as a deterrent to crime, but for private citizens, the stun gun may be used as a last result, and so should probably remain hidden unless you're under attack.

Stun guns can be disguised as other objects such as pages or cell phones, but the advantage of a stun baton is that is can lengthen your reach so you don't have to be as close to the attacker. Stun guns can range from 4 inches in length to more than 20, so you can decide what you're comfortable with based on your situation.

Personal Protection Products for Every Budget: Affordable Stun Guns. If you're looking to invest in a self defense or personal safety product that won't cost you an arm and a leg, don't rule out an inexpensive or discount stun gun. The cheapest stun gun can take charge as well as a more costly model, although if you pay less may not come with a leather holster. After all, they work on the same principle: an electric current generated by the device comes into contact with an opponent and sends him directly to the ground, leaving you free to run for help.

And "cheap" and affordable can still be effective. Any time you buy a product, make sure you're getting something that works. An inexpensive stun gun should still provide enough power to put an attacker out of commission; it should be easy to handle, and it should offer you satisfactory personal protection without extra hassle. The main difference you'll see in cheap stun guns is their size: they are more compact and easier to hold. If you don't feel safe about being close enough to touch an attacker with the device, consider a stun baton, which can extend your reach without significantly diminishing your bank account.

You don't have to own a police grade stun gun to feel comfortable about your security on the street, on campus or in your home; you can buy a smaller model that still delivers plenty of voltage. Our cheap stun guns carry 65,000 and 100,000 volts - plenty to defend yourself - and they can be purchased for well under $40 today.

Mini, Pocket Stun Guns are Extremely Powerful. The Firefly is advertised as the "world's strongest stun gun", with 950,000 volts packed into a compact handheld package small enough to fit into your palm or pocket. This miniature, hand held stun gun has a safety switch, packs a wallop and runs only on batteries, so there's nothing complicated to deal with.

By touching an attacker with the device, you hold the prongs of the tiny Fire fly against him for three to five seconds for an instant effect that lasts five to ten minutes. The electrical current takes charge of the body, convulses the muscles and drops even a big, mean guy right to the ground. Sometimes just a warning will do: fire the Firefly into the air and let the criminal see the electrical current passing between the prongs of the weapon. But be aware: if the attacker is stoned, drunk or crazy, you may just anger him further. If you think the attacker could take your weapon away and use it on you, it's better to keep it hidden and surprise him with it instead.

You can sometimes buy the Firefly as part of a self defense kit that also contains a holster, pepper spray, and batteries. With highly effective and easy to aim pepper spray covering you from a distance and the Firefly protection at close quarters, you're fully equipped to meet whatever life throws at you with one of the smallest devices around. Invest in one today!

Stun Gun Holsters and Accessories Make the Product Easy to Carry & Use. Having a stun gun is excellent protection, unless you leave it at home because you haven't found a good way to carry it. Stun guns may not travel well: if you're going out of state, you first need to make sure that the state where you're going allows stun guns, and if it does, you will have to pack it into your checked luggage for interstate air travel. But if you've bought the stun gun for use in your own stomping ground, you'll want to find ways to carry it that keep it accessible and easy to use, but private.

There are a variety of holsters and carriers for stun guns and batons: you can carry them holstered on your hip, clipped to a belt, or socked away into a bag, briefcase or pocket. Before leaving home, check to make sure the batteries are fully charged. Before entering an area where you may need the weapon, have it ready to hand by removing it from a bag and placing your hand on it. In situations where attack is imminent, be sure you have turned any safety switches off so the weapon is ready to use.

Some people use clothing as covers for stun guns or batons: you can also buy a cover for a holster, that in effect says, "Yes, I'm carrying a weapon, but do you know which kind?" Most of the time, openly carrying a weapon is a stratagem of law enforcement officers (or criminals): an open weapon may incite some people who are inclined to violence, and will certainly frighten the rest of us, so it's best to devise intelligent, discreet holders for weapons like stun guns.

Surveillance Monitoring Equipment is Great for Businesses and Homes. Electronic security systems have sometimes been nothing more than a fake video camera that will hopefully deter crooks, but systems have become more comprehensive as well as more economically manageable. You can still buy imitation surveillance equipment, but for similar amounts of money, you can honestly alarm your doors and windows, buy motion detectors for outside the home and put in lights that will deter criminal activity while adding to the value of your home.

What was once only available to James Bond and Maxwell Smart is now open to all: there are door locks that only open to certain fingerprints, pepper spray containers and stun guns that look like pens, and security equipment that automatically turns on sprinklers, sounds alarms, flashes bright lights and calls the police. Why worry endlessly about the security of your home? Do something about it and get a good night's sleep!

Security Surveillance Cameras; Added Protection Even if they're Fake! Let's be honest: most of us don't spend our evening hours locked up with video monitors constantly showing the perimeter of our homes, driveways and yards. Security personnel spend the wee hours watching for movements in the bushes, but the rest of us prefer to watch TV or settle in with a good book.

Even most small businesses just pay their theft insurance, lock the doors and hope for the best. But if you do own a small business, you might consider using an imitation surveillance camera to deter petty criminals. With more surveillance cameras going wireless, thieves can't be sure that the wire free surveillance camera above the counter isn't electronically linked to a security center miles away. And some dummy cameras also come with a "wire" that appears to lead into the wall, making the look more realistic.

Wireless nanny cameras for use in the home or to keep tabs on people at work cost from $350 to more than a thousand. You can get a fake surveillance camera for under $20. If it saves you a single robbery or theft, you've made your money back, but there's no way to tell how many crimes have been prevented with the use of these real looking devices. It's a worthwhile investment in the security of your home or business.
